Description

In PSY159 students will acquire practical skills to help support independent learning throughout the psychology degree and beyond. Students will learn how to formulate scientific questions of mind, brain, and behaviour; how to synthesize evidence into cogent essays that argue for a specific point of view; and how to present original ideas, insights, and critical thinking with clarity. Through independent reading and writing assignments, small-group exercises, and tutorials, students will learn what psychological research is and how it is done, and how to get the most out of a degree in psychology at the University of Sheffield.
